Hong Kong Working Holiday Visa

The main purpose of the scheme (i.e. Hong Kong Working Holiday Visa) is to facilitate cultural and educational exchange between Hong Kong and participating countries with a view to strengthening the bilateral relationship.

Participating countries include Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Netherlands, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Sweden, and UK.

Applicants must be between age of 18 and 30, and they are not allowed to bring along their dependant spouse to Hong Kong.

During the working holiday period, an individual (i.e. working holiday visa holder) is eligible to take a training course or/and temporarily jobs in HK.

The working holiday visa holder can work for the same employer in HK for no more than three months.
